Our origins

Madiva is a family-owned company founded in 1953 by the commitment of spouses Alfio and Iside Botta in Biella, the famous capital of wool.

Their son Roberto continued to take the reins of Madiva, ensuring the name and quality of production over the years. Today, his daughters Paola and Giulia, with pride and passion inherited from their father, have a well-defined goal: to maintain the tradition and quality of Italian craftsmanship while leading the company according to the mindset of the new generation. Innovation and digitalization are the key words.

We have been specialized since the beginning in creating high-quality Italian lingerie distributed in Italy and abroad.

100% Made in Italy

Our strength is the all-around Made in Italy, supported by ethical and moral reasons.

We produce consistently high-quality knitwear exclusively within our facility, ensuring the use of top-quality fibers. Having local production allows us to control product quality and work with reliability and satisfaction.

To maintain, in every circumstance, the love for well-done work and the know-how developed over the years and continuously improved.

To continue having a strong identity, change and innovation are fundamental. In recent years, we have completely renewed the look of our brand without abandoning the consistency that has characterized us for 70 years.

We will continue to offer garments that provide all types of women the opportunity to feel comfortable.

Needle and thread

Behind every piece we create, there is a story, a hand, an emotion.

We believe in things made well, in the tradition passed down from generation to generation. We believe in high-quality products.

Love and passion are our needle and thread.

We sew and inspect every single piece to ensure it is perfect and as we envisioned it.

Our secret is the harmony between precious natural materials that respect the delicacy of the female body, Italian craftsmanship, and the continuous pursuit of elegance.

Our collections are characterized by decades of experience in selecting materials that convey Italian refinement and taste.

We are in a constant search for style that keeps up with new trends, we use high-precision machinery, and, very importantly, our staff has been highly specialized in quality control for years.

Quality of our fibers

Silk Lana

85% Merino wool 15% pure natural silk for Madiva garments.
70% Merino wool 30% pure natural silk for Artimaglia garments.
These two 100% natural yarns are blended to create a product that is truly warm, cozy, and pleasant on the skin.

Mako Cotton

Makò cotton, or Egyptian high cotton, is recognized for its high quality, from which dense and lightweight cotton fabrics with a smooth and shiny surface are made.
Our cotton is lightweight, soft, absorbent, and very resistant to wear and heat.

Cotone Filoscozia®

Certified Filoscozia® cotton, which must comply with processing cycles that allow for strict control over adherence to European regulations on healthy textiles for individuals and with a reduced environmental impact. The Filoscozia® cotton yarn is hypoallergenic, antibacterial, hygroscopic, absorbs and disperses the body's natural perspiration, and does not contain soluble proteins.

Pure Silk

The pleasure of wearing.
From this precious and elegant natural fiber, the strongest known so far, our pure silk organza is born; this is how we create unique and exceptionally soft and delicate garments that remain cool in summer and warm in winter.

Pure Wool

Selected from Australian wools. A selection made by Mr.
Botta in person, who directly oversees the fibers that are processed in the company's owned spinning mill.
Our pure wool garments are lightweight, made from yarn obtained from fine yet substantial layers to provide greater reliability in washing. Treated SUPERWASH.

Micromodal

SOFT, BREATHABLE, NATURAL.
The soft tenderness of these garments will make you appreciate their practicality and perfect fit.
The exclusivity of the Softy Madiva line made from Micromodal LENZING (world leader in cellulose fiber production) and Lycra DuPont.
